Situated in a rural location 2 miles from the nearest village, in 35 acres of deepest Oxfordshire, we offer a broad range of supporting services in addition to the main breeding activities of the stud. For example, we take mares for AI with semen from non-resident stallions and our own stallion Don Dante, and for foaling down.

Facilities For Visiting Mares, Foals & Youngstock
Stratton Stud has a dedicated foaling yard with adjacent safe turnout pasture. All foaling boxes are fitted with CCTV and on-site supervision day and night is provided by experienced handlers.
We also take youngstock of all ages for handling, backing and schooling on. All youngstock are handled frequently from birth and receive regular hoof trimming, worming and veterinary care.
We pride ourselves on providing a relaxed and stress-free life, with much more than the minimum necessary grazing land available, for all visiting mares, foals and youngstock, during their stay at Stratton Stud.
